HAVE FAITH IN GOD’S FAITHFULNESS
Hebrews 11 gives us great examples of how the Christian life is dependent upon faith. Anytime we demonstrate faith, we’re relying on something. If we sit in a chair, we rely on the fact it will hold us up.
God knows what we need at any given time in our lives, and He leads and guides us when we seek His will.  We can at times however, think we have a better plan and can use our logic and our experience or wisdom to make decisions. When we seek God’s leading and direction for any decision or circumstance, we know we can always trust Him to give His guidance, wisdom and direction. Proverbs 3: 5-7 says: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take”.
Freely placing our decision making back into God’s hands is not always easy. Genesis 18:13 says: “Then the LORD said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh? Why did she say, ‘Can an old woman like me have a baby?’ Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son”. And of course she did!
We are about to move into a new season in the life of our church and at our AGM we elected leaders to the leadership team, and a Call Committee to begin a pastoral search for our new pastor. We can be sure that as we wait on God, listen to His voice, and seek His will, He will lead, guide and direct our steps into the future.
