Our God is a God of order!
I really enjoy reading articles from “Creation” magazine (Creation Ministries International Ltd) published quarterly from Australia. What impresses me most is the number of highly educated, professional people who contribute well-researched articles from around the world to proclaim and uphold the truth and authority of the Bible.
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth.” (Isaiah 40:28)
Many scientists claim that the universe happened by chance, and that man and all other creatures have evolved from pond-cum or bacteria over millions of years. Unfortunately, this stance is supported by TV presenters, universities, schools and evolutionists.
How could this universe come “by chance” into a cosmic orderliness that extends from a single atom to the furtherest star, and controls everything in between? That would be an astounding materialistic miracle… universal chaos, by chance, giving birth to universal order!
If one believes that, then he indeed believes in miracles; the very thing he condemns in a Christian believer.
The genius of faith is that through it we can leap over the tortuous windings of reason, and lay hold of the basic facts of creation as described in the book of Genesis. Science, apart from God, cannot tell me how the universe began (or for that matter, how it will end), but by faith I understand and I know. To trust God’s word may not be an easy path in this scientific age in which we live, but it is an absolutely sure one.
