Hamilton Suicide Bereavement Support
Grief is like the ocean; it comes in waves, ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim.
Suicide Support:
Hamilton Suicide Support Group is held on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 6-7.30pm at Fairfield Baptist Church. This is an informal gathering for anyone who has lost someone to suicide. We have resources available for loan and are a friendly group who are there to help each other.
WAVES (Suicide bereavement course):
Ross and Karyn are trained in suicide bereavement. They are trained facilitators of the WAVES course, a suicide grief support group designed for anyone who has lost someone to suicide. The course is commenced when there is a core number of 8-10 people registered to attend. It is non-religious and casual. We are working on providing more suicide support for people in the Waikato.
