One of the favorite verses in the Bible is found in Ephesians 6v10…”Be strong in the Lord and in the Power of His might “. I have seen this text hanging on walls in many Christian homes. A modern translation puts it this way…Finally, be empowered in the Lord and in the might of His strength.

Life has many struggles. Where do we find the strength to overcome. We soon come to recognise that the spiritual warfare against Satan, sin and evil is achieved only in the strength of the Lord and not in ourselves. When we speak of strength we usually refer to the abilities of weightlifters or super human physical achievements The Apostle Paul uses two Greek words
to describe the Christian’s source of strength.

Dunamis [explosive power ] from which we have the word for dynamite , and kratei a superior display of might. Here is the source for each one of us who know Jesus as Lord. This assures us that we have all the resources of a Mighty Saviour to enable us to find strength to live for Christ ,to serve Him and exercise our Faith and overcome the struggles and problems which we
constantly face. Whether it be health, family, finances, or whatever.

Here are some Scriptures to encourage us to find strength.
2 Cor 12v9:  “My Grace is sufficient for you for my strength is made perfect in weakness”.

Phil 4v13:  “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

Rom 5v6:  “When we were yet without strength, Christ died for us”.

Ps27v1:  “The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid”.Isaiah 41v10, I will strengthen you, I will help you.

Mark12v30: “Love the Lord with all your mind and with all your strength”.

May each of us find renewed strength, knowing His blessings daily, for Jesus sake.
