In April this year, we enjoyed 2 weeks
travelling the South Island by train and
coach. This was an escorted tour, so we had
a very relaxing time and were able to really
look around us at our beautiful country. The
spectacular autumn colours of Arrowtown
and Central Otago, the majesty of the Sounds
and the scenery of the coastal areas were
stunning. Even a misty day at Bluff, the
vastness of the grey sea stretching out to the
horizon was impressive.
When God created the earth, He made it
perfect for mankind to live in. Tragically,
much of His creation has been destroyed by
sin, man’s greed, violence and wars, so we in
NZ are so blessed to still be able to enjoy the
provision and beauty around us. We should
not take it for granted but praise and thank
God every day.
Rom. 1:20 tells us that “ever since the
creation of the earth, God’s eternal power and
deity has been clearly perceived in the things
He has made. So we are without excuse not
to honour Him and give Him thanks.”
We have a mighty and powerful God, far
above all, the Great I AM, but yet He cares
for us His children and wants the very best
for us all.
“Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise.”
