The Lord Jehovah’s Strange Work
Isaiah 28:21 For Jehovah will rise up as in mount Perazim, he will be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon; that he may do his work, his strange work, and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
22 Now therefore be ye not scoffers, lest your bonds be made strong; for a decree of destruction have I heard from the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, upon the whole earth.
23 Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.
The Scriptures reveal Jehovah did judge Israel for her sins many times, even double for all her sins. However, there is no record of a decisive destruction by the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts upon the whole earth since the Flood of Genesis 7. Since God is not a man that he should lie, neither the son of man that he should repent; has he said and shall he not do it? Or has he spoken and it shall not come to pass? Number 23:19

The prophet Isaiah exhorts us, ‘Give ye ear, hear my voice’, and the Apostle Peter encourages us, ‘We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, 2 Peter 1:19
