Jesus the Conqueror
JESUS. That is the name by which we live. Jesus. By recognising Him as a friend who will never leave us.
Jesus. “You shall call his Name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.”
That word ‘sins” means not only murder and other brutal crimes, but doubts, fears, tempers, despondencies, impatience, lack of love in big and small things. Jesus. “He shall save His people from their sins.” The very speaking of the Name lifts the soul away from petty irritations to mountain heights.
“He shall save His people from their sins.” Saviour and Friend, Giver of Hope and Joy, and Rescuer, Leader and Guide – Jesus. Do you need to be delivered from cowardice, from difficult circumstances, from poverty, from failure, from weakness?
“There is no other Name whereby you can be saved!” – Jesus. Say the name often. Claim the Power, Peace and Joy it brings.
A well-known hymn says:
“What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry,
Everything to God in prayer!
O What peace we often in forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear!
All because we do not carry,
Everything to God in prayer!
