A Biblical Mindset
Romans 12:2 “Don’t be conformed, pressed into the world’s mould. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
For 2000 yrs. God shaped the understanding & culture of Abraham’s offspring to bring them into line with His truth. He revealed His nature that there is only one God, He is a jealous God who will not share His glory with idols. He is holy, loving & righteous. Through Torah, He shaped their daily lives & taught them holiness, about holy days, holy people & holy places. He taught them righteousness & repentance. He taught them about the defilement of sin; what being set apart for God means. He introduced them to the covenant; instilled in them a biblical cycle of life; Sabbaths & feasts were played out in their lives, teaching & reminding them each year of the principle of life with God.
He gave them practical wisdom for success & illustrated how to prosper & demonstrate the blessing of being God’s people. The Hebrew way of thinking & living is trust in God. Even if we do not understand Him, we choose to love, obey & worship Him.
So as we meditate on His Word, the original Scriptures were written in Hebrew which is God’s language given to His people to communicate with Him. By learning to think like God & becoming aligned with His Kingdom purposes, especially for the peace of Jerusalem, we will begin to prosper & move forward.
