This week I have shared stories with family and friends
that have reminded me of God’s faithfulness. I look back
on my life and see how God has been faithful to me over
and over again. Sometimes it has been an answer to
prayer for what I asked God for. Other times, it has been
God’s peace in understanding why I didn’t get what I
asked for.
Our God is always faithful and over the last 33 years of
walking with him my faith grows each day.
Below is an extract from an article by Pastor Daryl
Evans:
“What exactly is faith? Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is
the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of
things not seen.” It is simply believing in something that
you cannot see. We know that a characteristic of God is
that He is faithful. We are called to be faithful and people
of faith.
Psalms 36: Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the
heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.
The Bible clearly shows that faith is not just a one-time
decision to follow Christ (which is certainly important and
has eternal consequences) but we are called to increase
in faith. Faith has been described like a muscle. Just
from not using the muscle it withers away and is almost
useless. Our faith is the same way. We need to use our
faith and to grow like Christ and increase our faith. Pray
to God for him to increase our faith in Him today.”
