If we are working with people in any area of their field we are faced with different personalities, attitudes and mannerism and we have to deal with it. We sometimes need to be careful how we approach them, it could be just gentle touch of warm words or sometimes stern words to tell them about the consequences of their behaviour. And below is a reading from ur Daily Bread:  Honey Or Vinegar?

“A good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit” (Luke 6:43). Bible teacher Robert J Little wrote about two jars whose contents looked the same but were actually quite different.

When the first jar was turned on its side, vinegar ran out. Then the other jar was tipped over and honey came out of it. The two jars appeared to be similiar, but when they were upset their true contents were revealed. An excellent test of character is the way a person reacts under the pressure of a difficult situation.

Under normal conditions, most people behave in a socially acceptable manner. They give the impression that everything is under control. When they are caught off guard or are unexpectedly upset, however, they reveal their true disposition.

What is deep down inside of us will spill out when we are tested. Our reactions to pressure can reveal what we are. Jesus said, “Out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks’ (Luke 6:45).  What comes out of your heart -honey or vinegar?

When someone does something you don’t like, how do you react? By maintaining your fellowship with God and relying on His Holy Spirit’s guidance, what spills out of you will be pure and good.

This was written by Richard De Haan.

Our true character is revealed in the unguarded moment.
